Foodies! If you love food just as much as I do you are not going to want to miss this! I DON’T DO CLUBS, a blog that caters to young black professionals looking for a “different way to party” beyond the typical nightclub scene, is curating Black-Owned Restaurant Months. The first launch was last month in New York City, and now it’s headed to DC!
Since 1992, the original Restaurant Week has introduced millions of foodies to new and exciting eateries and become an international institution. Why not bring this same movement to the Black community?
For just $30, Black-Owned DC eateries will treat their guests to a custom three-course prix fixe dinner on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Black-Owned Restaurant Month ends Wednesday, November 18, 2015.
It is so exciting to see an event that caters strictly to supporting black businesses! It is our responsibility to make sure that our money is flowing back into the black community and keep black owned businesses doors open. Awareness is the first step so spread the word and go support. Shout out to founder and editor-in-chief Genese Jamilah!
